Students Convene at CSUSB’s Highly Anticipated Homecoming Bash Temecula, Calif. - This past Saturday from 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) held its annual Fall-semester Homecoming event, exhibiting all the best of what CSUSB’s campus has to offer. With only pre-registered students, faculty, and family in attendance, this year’s event featured live music, student resource booths, free food, carnival games, and much more. At the most anticipated event at CSUSB, the Yote family gathered at the dining quad to connect and showcase their Coyote Pride through music, food, and fun giveaways. With the event lasting an entire day, students were able to explore different aspects of campus life and what it means to be a Coyote. Community Gathers to Support CSUSB Volleyball team at Annual Homecoming Bash San Bernardino, Calif. - Calif. State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) showcased their many colleges and resources at its Homecoming event on October 16th. Students and their families were invited to enjoy food, games, and club activities. Upon arrival, students received complimentary CSUSB swag, including shirts to support our Volleyball team, bags, and more. The Student Zone gave students an opportunity to learn more about clubs and organizations on campus and be able to connect with the CSUSB community while enjoying giveaways, games, and many different food vendors.  Along with the numerous options of food, homecoming had to offer, there were plenty of booths that showed the diversity CSUSB as a whole has to offer. Strategic Communication Information Sessions Give Students Insight on Growing Opportunities in Communication On Tuesday, October 26 from noon-1 p.m., Jessica Nerren, a public relations and strategic communication full-time lecturer at CSUSB, is holding a Zoom information session for students about the different explorative opportunities and career benefits within the strategic communication concentration.   The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the field of public relations to grow 7% by 2028 , making a concentration in strategic communication even more beneficial and in demand for up-and-coming generations and graduates. Join San Bernardino’s New At-Risk Drop-In Youth Center For A Spooktacular time   SAN BERNARDINO, California - Open Arms is excited to announce a haunted house event on October 30th. It will be held at 323 W. Seventh Street, San Berardino for at-risk youth. The event will include a spooky haunted maze, movies, a costume competition and a raffle. At-risk youth, 14-25 years-old are invited to come along for a night of spooky fun.  Those that are daring enough to enter the haunted maze should know the event starts at 1pm and will run until 7pm, so please feel free to come on down. Costumes are not required; however we encourage all to wear a costume as we will be hosting a competition for best dressed! Candy, snacks and drinks will be provided for all. Masks will be required inside of the building, but don't worry masks will also be provided. As always, hygiene kits will be provided for youth ages 14-25 years old. Open Arms Halloween event SAN BERNARDINO, California - Open Arms would like to invite you to a haunted house event on Saturday, October 30th, from 1-7pm. This Halloween event will host a raffle and a costume competition. The event takes place outside where there will be movies playing all during the event.  Costumes are highly encouraged for the event, and as always, hygiene kits will be provided for youth ages 14-25 years old. There will be mazes for the community along with candy, snacks and drinks.  Once again, donations of nonperishable food and hygiene products are always welcomed. Unfortunately, the center is not able to accept clothing donations at this time due to space. Those 14-25 years-old at-risk of being homeless are invited Friday, October 15, from 4-7 pm at 323 W. Seventh Street, San Bernardino.  Serving mocktails instead of cocktails as an inclusive way to have fun for all ages. Popular cocktails will be served without the alcohol: mojitos, pina coladas and margaritas. “Having fun doesn’t have to have alcohol involved at social gatherings. Join San Bernardino’s New At-Risk Drop-In Youth Center for an Open House BBQ SAN BERNARDINO, California - Open House BBQ to be held at the new at-risk youth assistance center, Open Arms. Those 14-25 years-old are invited on September 25 from 1-4 pm at 323 W. Seventh Street, San Berardino. There will be free food, video games and other exciting activities.
