Students Convene at CSUSB’s Highly Anticipated Homecoming Bash
Temecula, Calif.- This past Saturday from 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) held its annual Fall-semester Homecoming event, exhibiting all the best of what CSUSB’s campus has to offer. With only pre-registered students, faculty, and family in attendance, this year’s event featured live music, student resource booths, free food, carnival games, and much more.
At the most anticipated event at CSUSB, the Yote family gathered at the dining quad to connect and showcase their Coyote Pride through music, food, and fun giveaways. With the event lasting an entire day, students were able to explore different aspects of campus life and what it means to be a Coyote.
Participants of this year’s Homecoming event were given the opportunity to explore some of CSUSB’s clubs and organizations and connect with the different academic resources on campus through the Student Zone and College Resource Fair. Those in attendance on Saturday also showcased their school spirit by supporting our girls’ Volleyball team against Cal Poly Pomona, followed by a winning celebration stargazing at Murillo Observatory.
21-year-old attendee and sociology major, Jacky Rosales, exhibited her Yote pride by partaking in each and every activity, claiming it was the combination of school and fun that got her to register for the event.
“Even if you’re
only inclined to go because of the food or carnival games, you’re bound to run
into a helpful resource that will benefit you in some way shape or form,” said
Rosales, “I would suggest attending this event because you might stumble upon
something you didn’t know you were interested in, which is why combining
activities with academic resources is such an effective way to get students
involved more on campus.”
