Community Gathers to Support CSUSB Volleyball team at Annual Homecoming Bash

San Bernardino, Calif.- Calif. State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) showcased their many colleges and resources at its Homecoming event on October 16th. Students and their families were invited to enjoy food, games, and club activities. Upon arrival, students received complimentary CSUSB swag, including shirts to support our Volleyball team, bags, and more. The Student Zone gave students an opportunity to learn more about clubs and organizations on campus and be able to connect with the CSUSB community while enjoying giveaways, games, and many different food vendors.

Along with the numerous options of food, homecoming had to offer, there were plenty of booths that showed the diversity CSUSB as a whole has to offer. Organizations like Coyote Radio and Coyote PR were set up with games for students to participate in for a chance to win huge prizes in a raffle which included iPads, Airpods, and a Nintendo Switch!

The Homecoming event was a way for CSUSB to connect with students and help them learn something they may have never known about on campus.

When asked if she would recommend coming to the event next year, 21-year-old Sociology major, Jacky Rosales said,

“Yes, I would! Even if you’re only inclined to go because of the food or carnival games, you’re bound to run into a helpful resource that will benefit you in some way shape, or form. I would suggest attending this event because you might stumble upon something you didn’t know you were interested in, which is why combining activities with academic resources is such an effective way to get students involved more on campus.”

For students seeking a more relaxed environment, the Murillo Observatory provided them a chance to escape the stress of midterms and look up at the stars.

Homecoming ended the night with a win of 3-1 for our women's CSUSB Volleyball team against our rival school Cal Poly Pomona. Go Yotes!
