Celebrating The Spooky Season For The Right Reason

Join San Bernardino’s New At-Risk Drop-In Youth Center For A Spooktacular time   SAN BERNARDINO, California - Open Arms is excited to announce a haunted house event on October 30th. It will be held at 323 W. Seventh Street, San Berardino for at-risk youth. The event will include a spooky haunted maze, movies, a costume competition and a raffle. At-risk youth, 14-25 years-old are invited to come along for a night of spooky fun.  Those that are daring enough to enter the haunted maze should know the event starts at 1pm and will run until 7pm, so please feel free to come on down. Costumes are not required; however we encourage all to wear a costume as we will be hosting a competition for best dressed! Candy, snacks and drinks will be provided for all. Masks will be required inside of the building, but don't worry masks will also be provided. As always, hygiene kits will be provided for youth ages 14-25 years old. Let’s Have a Fang-Tastic Halloween Night!

Open Arms Halloween event SAN BERNARDINO, California - Open Arms would like to invite you to a haunted house event on Saturday, October 30th, from 1-7pm. This Halloween event will host a raffle and a costume competition. The event takes place outside where there will be movies playing all during the event.  Costumes are highly encouraged for the event, and as always, hygiene kits will be provided for youth ages 14-25 years old. There will be mazes for the community along with candy, snacks and drinks.  Once again, donations of nonperishable food and hygiene products are always welcomed. Unfortunately, the center is not able to accept clothing donations at this time due to space. Monica Rosales is leading the way! SAN BERNARDINO, California - September 29, 2021, Monica Rosales- “Say yes to opportunities because you never know where it may take you” was the advice given to her by her parents. A Junior Publicist for Coeur Communication who accredits her current position to being proactive within her career. She shared her knowledge on the journey from Cal State University of San Bernardino (CSUSB) student, to intern, to being full-time at a Public Relations firm. Rosales, a CSUSB Alumni, spoke on her journey as a first-generation U.S. citizen and University graduate. Open arms welcomes local artist at Paint and Sip SAN BERNARDINO, California - Open Arms will be hosting an art event welcoming special guest and artist Julia Barry Parker. The event will include sipping on mocktails while participating in some fun art with Julia. Those aged 14-25 are invited on Friday, October 15, from 4-7 pm at 323 W. Seventh Street, San Bernardino.  The theme of art will be a surprise; with seven years of professional experience, Julia stated she is planning on, “something structured that will also be something they can add their own flair to.” Julia is a local artist from Idyllwild who has been working professionally on her art and as a holistic practitioner. She has been passionate about art and working at it her whole life. Julia believes that making art connects us with ourselves. Join San Bernardino’s New At-Risk Drop-In Youth Center for Paint and Sip SAN BERNARDINO, California - To continue with their mission to empower San Bernardino’s at risk youth, Open Arms gladly presents another invitation for an evening to Paint and Sip. Those 14-25 years-old at-risk of being homeless are invited Friday, October 15, from 4-7 pm at 323 W. Seventh Street, San Bernardino.  Serving mocktails instead of cocktails as an inclusive way to have fun for all ages. Popular cocktails will be served without the alcohol: mojitos, pina coladas and margaritas. “Having fun doesn’t have to have alcohol involved at social gatherings. For the youth struggling with peer pressure at parties these drinks can be presented as a way to socially engage without placing themselves in a harmful situation.”  This event will be taking place indoors and we will be providing all of the art supplies.
